Event aims to encourage public debate on city's future

The public are being encouraged to participate in the debate about the development of Dublin at an event taking place at the end of March 1999.  Some of the major problems facing Dublin are to be examined such as housing, waste and transport.  The event is being organised by Dublin Agenda 21 the sustainable development initiative established after the Earth Summit.

The Dublin cityscape
The event will take the form of a series of workshops on housing, waste and transport where participants will be expected to contribute.  It will conclude with a general session where each workshop will report and conclusions and ideas for a way forward for a better and sustainable Dublin.
