100th Anniversary of the Irish Defence Forces Cavalry Corps & it's UN peacekeeping role

We were at the 100th Anniversary of the formation Óglaigh na hÉireann / Irish Defence Forces Cavalry Corps. While this armoured corps is relatively small compared to many larger countries it has punched above it's weight because of it's role in UN peacekeeping. It has been active in many long forgotten wars over 60 years such as the Congo, Cyprus and more recent such as Syria and Kosovo. At the event there was a convoy and static display of vintage armour vehicles. I will be doing a full report on this for Ireland Made soon.
