Neil Campbell was training and testing for Guinness world cycling speed record at Elvington Airfield, North Yorkshire, England 1 & 2 July 2019.

Neil has already broken the European cycling speed record. Neil will be using the very latest air bag technology motorbike suit from Dainese which inflates in event of crash. Also a new full face ‘Koura’ helmet from Davida offering better protection but allows goggles to protect eyes from dust.

Because of the technical difficulties of achieving such high speeds in the UK the bike has undergone some serious refurbishment. These include structural enhancements, upgraded disc brakes, lower riding position and the fitting of a specialist parachute assist with braking from 170mph to 0mph in just 400metres.

For the world record attempt training and testing there is:

A £15,000 custom built Moss bike fitted with a parachute.
A Porsche Cayenne pace car
A parachute to stop
The latest air bag technology integrated into his motorbike suit which which inflates in event of crash

Riding on the back wheel for a kilometre at over 190mph for a kilometre is the goal of motorcycles bidding to be the wheelie world champion. This can be seen over and over again at the 10th World Wheelie Championship set to take place in England in mid-August. Up to 30 top competitors from the USA, UK, France, Holland and Ireland will be competing for the world title. Rescheduling the date of the “Middle East Peace Tour” – Cycling Stage Race

The first edition of the Middle East Peace Tour (MEPT) will take place in March 2019. Originally the cycling stage race had been scheduled for 9. -15. March 2018 with the start in Amman – Petra – Aqaba – Eilat – Mitzpe Ramon – Neve Zohar – Jericho and finishing in Jerusalem. Organizer Gerhard Schönbacher explains the decision as follows. "We have been working on the practical implementation of the multi-day race with a lot of enthusiasm for four years. However, we have encountered more hurdles than originally expected. For a project of this magnitude a lot of things only reveal themselves once you start working on the detailed processes. The current implementation phase has resulted in a few milestones taking longer to complete than originally planned and those can only be resolved on-site.
